Fall provides some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets of any time of the year. That's certainly true of the lighthouses that I photograph along the Great Lakes near my home in Michigan. This October while photographing on the Outer Banks during the 200th anniversary celebration for Cape Hatteras, exactly the same was true. I've tried to capture the rapidly changing colors and nuances of the morning light at Bodie Island in the photos of this gallery.
