These
photos were shot at St Joseph from Silver Beach and on the south
pier at the beginning of January, 2004. The lake was late starting
to freeze. When these photos were shot, there was a band of ice
probably 50 feet wide along the beach. The surface of the south
pier was completely sheathed in ice about 3 inches thick making
it impossible to walk on without some form of cleated boots. |
