After passing beneath the Verrazan Narrows bridge when leaving New York harbor, the next lighthouse one comes upon to the starbord is the West Bank lighthouse.  The lighthouse can be viewed from the boardwalk in Coney Island as well as from New Dorp beach near the Elm Tree lighthouse, but West Bank is best viewed from the water.  Close views are shown in the West Bank 2 gallery - click the button below.
