As you can tell from the map of Raritan Bay with "push pins" for the various lighthouses on the bay, the West Bank and Romer Shoal lighthouses are not very far apart.  (Click the button labeled Return to Raritan Bay Gallery Page below to go to the map)  This photograph of the West Bank lighthouse in the foreground was taken from north west of the lighthouse as we approached from the direction of Staten Island.  You can see the Romer Shoal lighthouse off to the left on the horizon.

Unlike the Romer Shoal lighthouse, which is bad need of scraping and fresh paint, the West Bank lighthouse looks as though it has just recently had a fresh coat of cocoa brown paint in these photographs shot in July 2008.
