This pair of images of Big Red in Holland, Michigan were shot during what photographers refer to as the "blue hour" about an hour before dawn. The waters in the channel that links Lake Makatawa to Lake Michigan were totally calm and glass smooth when these reflections were taken, capturing the red and white flashes that comprise the flash signature of Big Red.
