The first time I photographed
Robbins Reef lighthouse was from an upper deck of the cruise ship
Carnival Victory headed back into New York City on a very foggy/hazy
morning in July 2007. I was still happy to get some photos
of the lighthouse that 10's of thousands of people pass each day
on the Staten Island Ferry. Having a chance to shoot the
lighthouse from much closer on a much smaller boat a year later
on a clear morning was much better photographically.
