The lighthouse
at Perkins Island was built in 1898 to aid mariners headed for Bath.
The tower is octagonal and 23 feet high. A keeper's house
and small barn were built at the same time as the lighthouse, with
the boathouse, fog bell tower and brick oil house added later.
