Halfway Rock lighthouse can be seen from high vantage points in Portland on a clear day or as I chose to do it from Bailey Island at the end of Maine 24. From US 1 in Cook's Corner, turn right onto Maine 24 and just keep going until you can't go any further. From a parking lot on the right at the very end of the road you'll be able to see the Halfway Rock lighthouse off in the distance.
