This wave animation is from the gale that swept across the lake on November 13th, 2005. The winds were sustained at 45-55 mph, gusting to as high as 75 mph according to the local TV weather that night,, which is the wind velocity of a category 1 hurricane! This animation is 17 frames long shot at 4 frames/sec, 526x800 pixels, and is roughly a 4 Mbyte file. Please be patient and give it time to load... this particular wave was truly spectacular even among all of those that I've seen and photographed!
