A great many coastal towns and villages proclaim their lighthouse to be the most often photographed or the most picturesque or with some other superlative.  Portland Head, which guides mariners into Casco Bay and Portalnd certainly has some grounds for such a claim and is a fascinating light to photograph.  The image below is probably my favorite perspective from which to photograph the Portland Head light rather than the more often seen photographs from the other side of the light.
