"Navesink Sunset Silhouette"

After a number of trips out to Navesink to photograph a silhouette at sunset, the sunset and clouds finally cooperated to yield this dramatic silhouette. The image was made using a Nikon F5 with a Nikkor 300 mm f/4 AF-S lens with a Nikkor TC-14 AF-S teleconverter to give me an effective focal length of 420 mm. The image was shot on Fuji Velvia 100F professional slide film from the road leading out to Gateway National Recreation Area.
