Absecon Spiral

This photograph of the spiral stairs was shot from the base of the lighthouse on Provia 100F professional slide film using a Nikon F5 with a 17-35 mm f/2.8 AF-S lens. The light strips beneath the stairs spiral up to the landing which is a quarter turn and then start again, continuing up and out of sight behind the stair treads becoming visible in the distance through the openings in the landing floor.
