Eagle Bluff lighthouse was built in 1868 and is a sister lighthouse to the Chambers Island lighthouse, which no longer has a lantern room. The lighthouse guards the passage through the Strawberry Channel into Green Bay.

Three keepers and their families called Eagle Bluff lighthouse home over the deacds it was in service. Much of the historical record of this fascinating lighthouse, located in Wisconsin's Peninsula State Park is through the Duclon family of the second keeper who served here for 35 years. The lighthouse has been restored to how it would have looked in the late 1800s by the Door County Historical Society and gives visitors a glimpse into life in a bygone era. Tours are offered from 10 AM - 4:30 PM from June through mid-October and are well worth the modest admission fee charged by the historical society.

The lighthouse was automated in 1926 and fell into disrepair before being restored by the historical society. Amazingly, 80 layers of gray painit were removed from walls, floors, ceilings, and woodwork during the resotration of the lighthouse.
