Algoma lighthouse with an old anchor in the foreground on a rough October day, 2001. The normal 4 hour crossing on the SS Badger, Lake Michigan Car ferry that day was five and one-half hours because of the strong winds and 10-14 foot waves on Lake Michigan during the crossing.
