View of the lighthouse with the sheltered walkway into the base of the tower from the 2nd floor of the keeper's residence. Not having to go out during the storms and gales that can sweep across Whitefish Point during the fall near the end of the shipping season and in the spring at the beginning of it, would be a welcome treat for the keeper or assistant keeper.
