Ocracoke Spiral

This view was shot from inside the base of the Ocracoke lighthouse looking straight up along the axis of the central, free-standing spiral stairs. The original stairs were around the outside of the lighthouse until the early 1950's when those stairs were replaced by this metal spiral.
