The Buffalo Main light is located at the Buffalo Section USCG base, which can be seen from the Buffalo Skyway just south of downtown Buffalo.  The north breakwater bottle light is also on the grounds of the USCG base.  When I visited there in October 2008, you could request permission for an escorted visit of the base and lights on the base.  The USCG was extremely hospitable and accomodating and I owe the USCG a debt of thanks for hosting my visit.  The Buffalo Intake Crib light and Buffalo Harbor lights are both visible in the distance from the USCG base.  The best views of the Intake Crib light and the Buffalo Harbor light are from the water.  The Buffalo South Side Entrance light sits in an industrial area well south of the city.  There is a distant view of this light from along the feeder road along the Buffalo Skyway.  I photographed this light at a focal length of 900 mm.  The best view, however, would be from the water.
