Wisconsin Point
lighthouse marks the entrace at southern end of the giant sandbar
that spans the 10 miles between Duluth and the Wisconsin shore.
The ore docks guarantee regular shipping traffic past the Wisconsin
Point lighthouse making it a popular spot for viewing upbound
great lakers.

a load of taconite pellets. This view was taken from the upper deck
of the Keweenaw Star providing a unique vantage point for the passage
of the St Clair through the Superior Entry.
