Two Harbors, Minnesota has a pier light on the breakwater that protects the ore docks from the ravages of Lake Superior as well as the wonderfully preserved lighthouse. This page is devoted to the little pier light, a twin of the one at Grand Marais...

 

 

The first time I saw the Two Harbors pier light was from the deck of the Keweenaw Star...

From the water on a clear day it didn't have anything near the magical appeal of the first time I saw this little light from land on a foggy November morning...

Because of that magic of that morning, I wanted to devote this page solely to that image...
