In February-March 2009, my
wife and I took a trip, quite literally, to Fin del Mundo or The
End of the World! The trip began with a flight from JFK
to Buenos Aires, Argentina. After two days in Buenos Aires,
the ship we were on, Carnival's MV Splendor, departed on a trip
around Cape Horn that would end in Valpariso, Chile two weeks
and more than 3,000 nautical miles later and hurricane force winds
several times...
Our journey is chronicled
in some of the photographs of Argentine, Chilean, and Uruguayan
lighthouses, the Beagle Channel, the Straits of Magellan, the
Chilean fjords, and spectacular cloudscapes among others.
I ended up shooting several thousand photographs so these pages
will be an on-going work for quite some time to come...
